Filthy Liars!
Several people wandering the web have seen some... Disturbing ads lately regarding the net neutrality issue. The disturbing part is that these ads are popping up at otherwise hotbed democratic locations, such as The Nation's website.

For those unfamiliar, the ad-site that hosts The Nation's banner ads has been running an ad recently urging readers to "say no to government regulation of the internet."

For the love of god, please don't click on it.

It's a deceptive campaign created by high-priced consultants and paid for by the cable and phone industries to build opposition to the net neutrality bill. Companies like AT&T, Verizon, BellSouth and their trade associations are spending millions every week to mislead and misinform the American public through tricky ad campaigns such as these.

As our cherished friends down over at the Free Press report, the most recent attempt they've made - aside from these retarded ads, at any rate - is cutesy, poorly-made flash cartoon at www.dontregulate.org

Basically, it's a typical propaganda cartoon that tries to hide a pro-corporate message under a visage of populism. It's actively attempting to undermine actual activism by people like you and me, who don't want to see the internet become the next equivilent of cable television.

The ad goes through a series of little iterations as it asks watchers whether they want the government "regulating the internet." We all know what the crux of the issue is; so let's not beat around the bush. No doubt, a few of you might think that this propaganda is the work of just one individual.

For you guys, I show you this. This is a list of "Hands Off the Internet"'s members - and - look at that! Bellsouth, Comcast, AT&T...
Wow.

As you can now see, this isn't the work of one man. It's the work of an entire industry arm.

Get over to SaveTheInternet.com and give your support. Time is critical....
